Raising Resilient Kids Is About Showing Up
I was in Tampa yesterday, and SO many parents showed up for a Raising Resilient Kids workshop. It was at 8:30 am on a workday (don’t worry, we made a recording available!), and the room was full! In fact, the school told me that this was their biggest parent event turnout to date.
This reminded me of the importance of showing up, and the importance of giving people something to show up for. People wanted to be in the room and wanted to collaborate for the sake of their kids.
These workshops aren’t preachy. They’re very do-able, very fun (no boring slideshows here!) and parents WANT actionable information that makes their home lives easier. We want to be in community with other folks looking to create calm and connection at home. We want to be reminded that we can do this together.
Over and over again I’m blown away by the dedication of this generation of parents. Surgeon general warning and all, we’re going to make it. Our kids will be well. We’ll see to it.
Rooms full of parents all across the country agree.
