We want to help our kids reduce their anxiety, build up their self-reliance, and have a sense of resilience that they can rely on when things get tough.
But, what if things aren’t that tough for our kids? (hint: you DON’T need some big tragedy to develop resilience. There are systems. The tragedy is the shortcut..)
What if they push back when we give them chores to promote their independence? (hint: we rethink chores completely and look toward strengths and contributions..)
It was SUCH a pleasure speaking with the awesome folks on the Mighty as a Mother podcast!
I hope you give it a listen and I’d love to hear what your takeaways are!
