Shannon share’s the impact of joining Raising Resilient Kids on her family
Let me tell you about one family’s story in the Raising Resilient Kids class.
Shannon and Paul had two girls, ages 9 and 7. They had a harder time with their oldest.
As Shannon describes: “our older daughter was exuding behaviors that were pushing our buttons. We had a child that was exhibiting behaviors that was disrupting the family unit. It was taking energy away from us, sucking the air out of the room.”
Shannon was researching therapists, play therapy, and all of it felt like more than what her daughter needed.
Shannon realized that instead of therapy for her daughter, she needed the tools to understand her daughter better.
Now, listen to Shannon describe how the Raising Resilient Kids class was for her:
She says “I don’t know what I was expecting, but it was different than I thought it would be. There were so many helpful takeaways that I still use now.”
She also describes how her and her husband show up for their kids, and how they’re showing up for each other:
My husband and I are operating with more cohesion. We now understand how we’re interacting and how that impacts the girls, and we were able to learn skills together. We’re able to do things the same way, which gives our girls the continuity they needed.
